Please help in congratulating Tanty Gus Freeman II and Sandra Newkirk for successfully completing the first Cisco Networking Academy, Networking Essentials course taught at the George Henry White Memorial and Health Education Center in Farmers Union, NC with many of the lessons delivered virtually to allow the students to attend from their own locations. Tanty and Sandra learned core skills that form the foundation of a networking professional's toolkit, and demonstrated mastery in the examination process. They succeeded in: Planning and installing a home or small business network using wireless technology, then connected it to the Internet. Developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills using Cisco Packet Tracer. Practicing verification and troubleshooting of network and Internet connectivity. Recognizing and mitigating security threats to a home network. Instructor Keith Jacobs, an IT professional of 20 years experience, expressed his pride in the students' accomplishment, noting "Both of these students wish to continue on to obtain their Certification in Networking, which will make them highly desirable in work and other settings. I'm hoping to find others who wish to learn and catch up with them, so that they can all proceed into the next phase of the coursework. Please let us know if you are interested in joining our Networking Essentials course, or if you would like to also attend the Cisco Certified Network Associate course that is scheduled to start in April 2023."
Applicants can contact Professor Jacobs by text (919-395-7711) or by email (keithjacobs@jbsllc.services). Or you can apply on the website: www.ghwmemorialcenter.com/classes.
