All are welcome

The GHW Memorial Health & Education Center makes all of its programs, facilities, and services available without regard to race, color, sex, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, or political affiliation.  The building and rest rooms have been modified to make it handicap accessible with approved handrails. The GHW Center is open to the needs of the entire community.

Health

Equipment for health services (diagnostic, prevention, educational) would be helpful.

The Center is proud to count numerous businesses and nonprofit agencies as founding partners in the re-building and development of the project.  Without such outstanding leaders, this grassroots effort could not have been completed.  In the same way, the GHWMHEC welcomes community partners, whether educational, historical, health, or workforce development. The center can be a delivery point for your services to the people of  Bladen and Columbus counties.

Exterior Restrooms

To serve larger groups, the center would like to install incinerator toilets in a separate building.  This will protect the environment and serve the public.  For more information, contact us.

Electronics

A wi-fi system, computers and screen devices that will enable trainings and presentations are needed.

Financial Support

The ongoing operational costs and program needs are detailed here.  Donations are tax-deductible.  This center is a project of the Benjamin and Edith Spaulding Descendants Foundation, a 501-C-3 nonprofit organization.

Picnic Shelters

Permanent picnic pavilions are a possible future project.
